B2B SaaS / Multi-year engagement
Over a decade of building. One platform that ran a whole industry.
Ivie & Associates was one of the largest in-store marketing agencies in North America, managing campaigns across major retailers. Over more than a decade, Enspirit built and continuously evolved Recon -- the Creative Procurement Management platform that handled everything from project estimation to vendor billing across multiple partner companies. Ivie was subsequently acquired by Quad.
The problem
Managing creative production across multiple retail clients, partner agencies, and external vendors at enterprise scale with no integrated tooling. Projects, estimates, purchase orders, billing, and client communications were fragmented. Ivie needed a platform where all partner companies could share resources and run their own operations, connected to their own external accounting and warehousing systems.

What we built
A large-scale, multi-tenant Creative Procurement Management ERP. All partner companies operate independently within the platform while sharing infrastructure. Project management, product and service specifications, RFQ and estimation workflows, purchase orders, invoicing, sales orders, and a built-in CRM -- all integrated with external systems including Microsoft Great Plains for financial accounting and Avalara for automated sales tax.
Chat and group messaging built in. The platform was architected on microservices so each module -- Chat, CRM, RFQ -- can operate independently if needed. Six independent modules, each deployable on its own.

Multi-Tenant Project Management
Tasks, scheduling, and deliverables across multiple client organizations in a shared infrastructure.
RFQ and Estimation Engine
Streamlined quote-to-order workflow with product, service, and specification management.
Integrated Financial Operations
Purchase orders, invoices, sales orders, and direct integration with Microsoft Great Plains and Avalara sales tax.
Microservices Architecture
Each platform module is independently deployable. If one service goes down, others continue running. 200% performance improvement.
The outcome
Recon ran the creative procurement operations for one of the largest in-store marketing agencies in North America for over a decade. The microservices rebuild delivered a 200% performance improvement over the monolithic predecessor. When Ivie was acquired by Quad, the platform was the operational backbone of the business.
