Healthcare / 3+ year partnership
Zero to MVP in four months.
Gritwell needed a wellness platform that could handle patient intake, provider scheduling, treatment tracking, and real-time connectivity across web, mobile, and PWA. We built it in 4 months. They raised $3M after launch.
The problem
Gritwell is a virtual health clinic built to deliver better care. But as a startup, their operations had not caught up to their ambition: email-only coordination, client records buried in Google Docs, and no way to track follow-ups or todos across the care team.
Every workaround that made sense at ten patients broke at a hundred. They needed a platform that could handle scheduling, intake, care plans, and provider-patient communication in one place, before the cracks got any wider.
The scope was broad for a 4-month timeline — web, mobile, and PWA from day one.

What we built
A multi-platform wellness platform with three connected products: a client portal for patients, a back-office system for providers, and live connectivity between the two. The platform standardizes treatment protocols while giving providers room to customize care plans for individual patients.

Client Portal
Patient-facing web and mobile app. Appointment booking, intake forms, treatment tracking, provider messaging, and care plan visibility.
Provider Back-Office
Treatment management, patient records, scheduling, and billing. Built for providers who need to move fast between patients.
Real-Time Connectivity
Live sync between patient and provider views. Status updates, appointment changes, and care plan modifications show up instantly on both sides.
Multi-Platform
Web, mobile, and PWA. A responsive design system that stays consistent across every surface.
The approach
This was a venture partnership, not a services engagement. We worked alongside the Gritwell founding team as co-builders. Product strategy, technical architecture, design, and engineering all ran from our studio. The founders focused on clinical validation, provider relationships, and fundraising. We focused on shipping.
The 4-month timeline required disciplined scoping. We found the minimum viable feature set that would demonstrate real value to both patients and providers, built that first, and expanded from there. The product has been in continuous development for over 3 years since that initial launch.

The outcome
The MVP launched on schedule. Gritwell raised $3M in their next round, with the working product as the primary proof point. The platform now generates $1.2M in annual recurring revenue. The partnership has continued for over 3 years, with ongoing feature development, new provider onboarding tools, and expanded treatment tracking capabilities.
This is what the venture partnership model looks like in practice. We co-build with founders who want a technical partner, not just a vendor. Aligned incentives, shared commitment, and a product that works in production.
